am glade to see that Free formely of 106 and Park finally got a job again. She is now the sidekick on the Ed Lover Show on Power 105.1’s in the mornings in NYC. Free has not been working a real job since 2005.
I didn’t know that Free was a member of Wyclef Jean’s Refuger Camp. In 2000, Free started hosting 106 & Park alongside A.J. Calloway. After hosting the show for five years, Free left when her contract expired, she called it quits thinking that she was going to start a rap career. She was originally brought into the BET family by executive Stephen Hill, whom she met in Boston while working for urban/gospel radio station WILD 1090 based in Roxbury.
In 2002, she appeared in the film Drumline.
In 2004, Free released her first mixtape, Free’s World, which was sponsored by DJ Enuff and Dj Kast One. Later that year, a song called “Gotta Leave” was featured on a mixtape along with other solo debuts like LeToya & Omarion .
In 2007 Former 106 & Park host Free, was an on-air DJ for the LA radio station 100.3, THE BEAT
In 2007, Free also hosted Atlanta’s Dirty Awards. Hummmmm …. Thats It ????
